We are growing out of our shell

In 2020, we moved into the current Wine Barn. Now, 4 years later, we find that both businesses have grown so much that we lack space again. Through crowdfunding, we hope to realize our new plans. We would like to take you through our future plans on this page.

You can invest as little as €2,500. You can participate in our campaign later this year. Leave your data to stay informed.

Goals

Through crowdfunding we hope to raise €600,000 for the realization of a multipurpose building for the winery and gathering additional working capital to invest in special nets for Suzukii fruit fly and new equipment for the vineyard. In addition, construction is underway with the Reestlandhoeve Foundation on a handyman’s shed for the care farm. Meanwhile, in 2025 the vineyard will be expanded to about 5 hectares. With this we will produce about 45,000 bottles of Reestlander wine in 2030.

Multi-purpose building for the winery
Space for visitors, staff and caregivers

The current barn with wine storage will be converted into a multipurpose building where the winery will have room to grow. In addition to enlarging the wine storage, offices and two accommodation areas will be created. In the large reception hall with terrace in front of the frog pool, there will be space to host guests for wine tasting or a small snack. In addition, a smaller tasting room will be created overlooking the wine storage where there is room for about 25 people. Private tastings can be given here in conjunction with a tour of the vineyard. This space can also be used for Reestlandhoeve Foundation for informal care meetings. In the kitchen to be realized can experiment on a small scale with making non-alcoholic alternatives and a small menu can be composed with lunch and drinks dishes for our visitors. Currently, the winery receives 15,000 guests annually. We expect by being open more often with a wider range of offerings to double this.

When can I invest?
We want to start the investment round in Q1 2025. Through this initial inventory, we can further elaborate and concretize our plans. Then we will present our plans to you. Of course including the upcoming investment budget and the expected dividend.

Sustainably built

This property will use no gas and will be heated and cooled via a heat pump. Through smart integrations, based on the availability of solar or wind energy, the property will be heated or cooled. Toilets will be flushed with spring water instead of tap water. By using the highest insulation values and dynamic software, the building is highly energy efficient and efficient in use.

Sustainable viticulture

Additional working capital allows us to invest in innovative machinery for sustainable vineyard management and special nets against the Suzukii fruit fly, eliminating the need for control.

DIY together
A job shed for the care farm

Reestlandhoeve Care offers day care for people with various care needs. We offer a variety of daytime activities for our participants. At this moment we offer daycare 4 days a week for up to 25 people. In different spaces, inside and outside, at the Reestlandhoeve day care takes place. One space is the chore barn. Currently a small space with little daylight. There is increasing demand for odd jobs. The most beautiful things are being made. When you walk around at the Reestlandhoeve, everywhere you come across things that are made and/or refurbished by our participants. For example:

  • The lampposts along the driveway
  • The benches in the vineyard
  • The various insect hotels and birdhouses
  • The renovated grape press
  • Much of the patio furniture

To provide more space for our handymen, together with the Reestlandhoeve Foundation, we want to convert the woodshed, right next to the Wijnbarn, into a spacious handyman’s barn where several projects can take place at the same time. A large part of the costs Reestlandhoeve Foundation hopes to raise through gifts and donations but also by writing to various funds. This is provided through a grant to the company the Reestlandhoeve. Ultimately, the more donations, the higher the subsidy.

Building together

The shell (floor, walls, roof, windows and doors) will be installed by a contractor. The interior of the handyman shed will be done together with the participants. We involve our participants closely so that it really becomes their handyman’s barn.

What will happen to the current Wine Barn?

When the wine estate’s new multi-purpose building is completed, the hospitality function of the Wijnbarn will move. This will give both the winery and care more room to grow. This means that the winery will be able to hold wine tastings for more days than it does now, as well as allowing our care concept to open for more days. In addition, the Wine Barn can still be used to host large groups after the day care is over when there is demand. With these plans, we are building a future-proof company where everyone has space.

What will be the construction?

For the amount we are looking for, we offer two options: a loan with a fixed return and term, or certificates by which you become a co-owner and share in future profits through dividends. Through this campaign, you start in the loan structure: 3 years of grace, followed by repayment in a number of years to be determined. In addition, you get the option to convert your loan into certificates of shares. This is optional – if you do nothing, it remains a loan.

Why not certificates of shares right away?

At the moment the Reestlandhoeve is still a limited liability company (V.O.F.). To be able to issue depositary receipts for shares it is necessary to be a B.V. (private limited company). After extensive consultation with the tax authorities, we did not receive permission to issue certificates of shares immediately after incorporation of the B.V. without paying cessation profit tax. Since we have many plans and would like to realize them, we feel it would be irresponsible to pay a large portion of tax and then raise additional funds through crowdfunding. That is why we first start with a loan with conversion option to then give you the opportunity to really become co-owners of the Reestlandhoeve. As co-owners, you share in the profits and increase in value of the company together with the other owners.
