Reestlandhoeve Care

Supported volunteering, small-scale personalized day care, when work is no longer possible due to an assistance need

Care for people and nature come togetherPeople with diverse care needs are given the space to use their talents as supervised volunteers

Our participants are given the opportunity to actively participate in the daily work at the winery under professional supervision. Thus, in addition to our vines and our guests, we also create the ideal environment for people with dementia, NAH or, for example, mental health issues. Thus, they too remain part of our society.

The Wine Estate forms the basisWe experience together the growth cycle of the vineyard

At the Reestlandhoeve, we live with the seasons. Together we experience the successes, but also when the going gets tough. Participants of Reestlandhoeve Zorg get the opportunity to actively participate in daily activities on our Wine Estate under professional guidance. We also offer:

  • Outpatient support for independent learning and/or continued living
  • Social Activation
  • (Re)organizing daily life
  • Learning/working pathways
  • Customized care, based on own strengths
  • Internships to special education students

Reestlandhoeve Care is an indispensable link when it comes to meaningful day care

There is attention to individual issues. And if desired, we work intensively with other healthcare professionals. Our lines of communication are short, both with case managers and home care organizations and with general practitioners and administrators.

The Reestlandhoeve is a family businessTogether we want to make life a little more beautiful

The Reestlandhoeve is a family business. Since 2003 we produce natural Dutch quality wines with which we win awards every year. We grow as much as possible organically with respect for people and nature. The Wine Estate and Care at the Reestlandhoeve is constantly evolving, striving to create an ideal environment for our vines, our guests and people with care needs. With a down-to-earth outlook on life and with a sense of humor, we try to make every day a happy one. That makes it an inspiring place for staff, volunteers, interns and those who come for a bit of guidance and support.

Early-onset dementia pilot projectContinuing to work when living at home is no longer possible

When someone with dementia moves to a nursing home at a young age (younger than 65), day fulfillment outside the home is no longer funded. This concerns a relatively small group of people with complex needs. A group that is growing and does not find sufficient connection within the regular care for people with dementia. This requires a more appropriate care offer. Through a pilot project, it is possible for people who are confronted with dementia at a young age and start living at the Oosterboer residential facility of Zorggroep Noorderboog to continue to ‘work’ at the place where they used to have their day, such as the Reestlandhoeve. The pilot was financed with a subsidy granted by the province of Drenthe. To find out how we can facilitate and finance this expansion of care, the Reestlandhoeve and Zorggroep Noorderboog are pulling together. A first step to eventually renew dementia care throughout the Netherlands. More information about this pilot: Zorggroep Noorderboog
